Europe is the continent that is located in the northern hemisphere it consists of the westernmost part of Eurasia and is bordered by the arctic ocean. Mediterranean sea to the south and Asia to the east.  Europe covers about 10,180,000 km square i.e. 2% of the earth's surface. It lies mainly in a temperate climate.  The Balkan peninsula is located in southwestern Europe, has got its name from the Balkan mountains which stretch for Bulgaria which bordered by the black sea.  The Carpathian mountains are ranges in arcs that formed in eastern and central Europe. They stretch from the eastern Czech republic.  Danube river is the second largest river in Europe, found in central and eastern Europe, the river connects 12 countries.  The English channel forms a part of the Atlantic Ocean which divides southern England from northern France.  The Iberian peninsula is located in the southwestern part of Europe. It s the western ost edge of Eurasia. It divided Spain and Portugal. The Pyrenees is a mountain range between Spain and France that has an elevation of 3,404 meters.  The rhine river is a major European rover that has a source in Switzerland has a length of 1,230 km.  Ural mountains are a range that rises from the north to south of western Russia. That forms part of the convection boundary.
