40 POINTS FOR THIS ITS A BIG THING PLEASE DONT ANSWER UNLESS YOU’RE ACTUALLY DOING IT!!! I’m really sorry for asking this big assignment of you, but I really don’t have the time to do it...
For the first part, choose either a Chinese merchant, British merchant, Chinese politician, or British politician as your perspective. Basically, you are doing an assignment on why or why not your character might support the opium trade. For the first part make a graphic organizer with notes on each of the following based off who you chose, and also write what source you used to find it.
-historical perspective
-position on the opium trade
-One strong opposing point
-first supporting point
-Second supporting point
-third opposing point

For the second part, I would need you to write an editorial based on the viewpoint of the person you chose. Use the graphic organizer you made to help you write. It should contain the following:
-A few sentences that include the issue
-A sentence or two that clearly identifies your position
-at least one strong point in opposition to your position
-A short bottle of that opposing point
-at least three convincing supporting points for your position
-A concluding sentence or two
-A works-cited list (these should also be cited within the body of your essay using parentheses citations)

The picture I included is the rubric for the editorial!!
