Explain the different viewpoints of frederick douglass and captain canot regarding slavery. what evidence does each use? how does each present his information?

Fredrick Douglass was a slave that thought that all slaves should be free and Captain Canot was a slave trader that thought that slaves were only good for making money and for manual labor. As you can see with Fredrick Douglass he stated that when he wanted to learn how to read from the wife of the new slave owner the slave owner said that there would be no use for a smart slave and that they should remain ignorant so Fredrick Douglass wanted to help as many slaves as he possibly could to have them to learn how to read so they don't have to be slaves anymore but on the other hand with Captain Canot he had his slaves be kept on close observation and the slaves living conditions on the ship were not good what so ever and with Fredrick Douglass's owners they feed, clothed, and housed the slaves in a similar fasion in which Captain Canot did.

Not sure if it’s within 12 months, but you could talk about the spreading of alt-right hate speech and whether that is covered by the right of freedom of speech? or, cover how during the midterm elections in some states many native american populations were declined to vote because they didn’t have the proper id, despite being citizens? also, the death of that journalist last month, who spoke freely and reported about the saudi government and how corrupted it is and was killed because of that (lack of free press/speech). just some ideas for this prompt, i hope at least one of them : )
