Thus, the Africans lived longer because of the nutritious food.

The Americas had tons of gold and silver which gained wealth for the Europeans. Also, the Portuguese started focusing its endeavors on agriculture because Brazil, the land that they conquered, had perfect land for sugarcane cultivation. Eventually, the Portuguese’s main form of currency was sugar which became widespread and used by the French and Spanish.
