I completely agree with the system of checks and balances. Although the efficiency of governmental operations may be slowed by the requirements, checks and balances ensures that no one branch of government gets too powerful. Even with the checks on power held by the other branches, the structure of government created by the Constitution allows each branch to carry out their main tasks.
