2. Cold War: this was a non shooting conflict between the soviet union and their allies and the united states and their allies. this was a major turning point because many secondary conflicts happened due to the cold war
3. Great depression: the dramatic decline in the worlds economy due to the untied states stock market crash of 1929. this was a major turning point because it caused many citizens to not have food and it effected world trade and many other factors in the world.
