The Great Awakening was a religious revival by the Christians in America during the 19th century when they began massive revivals across the country by preaching to people to turn from their evil ways and embrace God.

This revival or movement was evidenced by outreaches, evangelism and a preaching about the punishment of hell fire for Sinners who refuse to repent.
