Why was the Stamp Act repealed? The colonists instituted a similar Stamp Act on British imported goods.
After meeting with some colonists, Parliament decided to repeal the original tax and then increase them to teach the
colonists a lesson!
The colonists retaliated by raising the prices on all their exported goods.
The colonists boycotted buying British goods and they wrote a letter to Parliament and the king protesting the act
