This is part1 Objective: Students will learn the locations and
participants of revolutions around the world by
coloring and labeling maps showing information about
the major revolutions that occurred during from the
1775 to 1825
1. Follow the directions outlined below in order to
visually depict when and where the major revolutions
took place
2. You will get two maps and you will use Karni to color
and connect the following areas detailed,
There are 10 revolutions/locations to include on the
maps - color code the items on your map based on
which European country independence was declared
Independence from
ā€¢ American
ā€¢ Bolivian
ā€¢ Brazilian
ā€¢ Chile
ā€¢ French (and where Napoleon attempted to spread
the French empire to show his conquests on the
map using arrows)
ā€¢ Gran Columbian
ā€¢ Haitian
ā€¢ Mexican
ā€¢ Paraguay
ā€¢ Peru
3. On the map you need to:
ā€¢ Place the country on the map
ā€¢ Color, create a map key, and label the locations of
each revolution
ā€¢ There are 4 European countries that colonized
much of Latin America. Figure out these
countries and place them on the map key and
designate a color:
ā€¢ Example:
Britain
ā€¢ Color code the items on your map based on which
European country independence was declared from
ā€¢ The dates of the revolution
ā€¢ The major leader(s) of the revolution
ā€¢ Color code your timeline to match your map (For
example, if you use the color blue for the American
Revolution on your map, also use the color Blue for
colonies that broke free of Britain in the key you
create)
Your resources are this Map Information Sheet and
any other resource you might find on the Internet.
4. Once you complete the map you will be taking a quiz map next week.
You will be graded on your level of thought, neatness and accuracy. Make these maps visually appealing!
