What led to clovis' conversion to christianity ?

He converted at the instigation of his wife, who was a catholic.  Plus it was the religion of the majority of his subjects were Catholic.  Basically it strengthened his bond with his Roman subjects.

              many important ancient principles in the american government came from ancient grecian and ancient roman ideas. from the greeks, we have a democracy form of government and citizenship. democracy began as an oligarchy where a few people power for the majority of the people. ancient citizenship excluded women, foreigners, and slaves. ours is reformed to include women and foreigners.  from the romans we have our republican representatives.  does this ?
