How did the Virginia House of Burgesses give the colonists a voice in their colonial government?

Throughout the Revolutionary period, the House of Burgesses remained a strong advocate for the rights of Virginians, and in general giving a powerful voice to the colonies. The House of Burgesses called for the Virginia Conventions, which went on to establish the Virginia Constitution.

Do you have more info about it ? i doubt this is the answer because i don't have all the information but if trouble was brewing in a clinic maybe it was an argument as to which clinic was better or smth of that nature
