Why were early christians at odds with the roman leaders? they believed there was only one god and did not worship the emperor. they did not comply with the civil service requirements and left their jobs. they believed that peter and paul were the only authority figures to follow. they ate only meat sacrificed to the ancient greek and roman gods.
