What nationalities besides the English began to arrive in America in the late 17th century?

In the southern US, there were English, German, Scotch-Irish (Scots who settled in northern Ireland in the 1600s, then further emigrated to the US), Scotch (lowland and highland) and French!. And a few from other cultures!
