Hammurabi was known for his "tough on crime" stance- a description that many politicians in America currently hope to achieve. For this discussion, choose one law from Hammurabi's code and explain how it is similar to a law that is currently found in the law books in America (local, state or federal.) After briefly explaining the similarities between the ancient and current laws, answer these questions: What is your opinion on the efficacy of the current law?
