A national heritage site is a heritage site having a value that has been registered by a governmental agency as being of national importance to the cultural heritage or history of that country.

Explanation:

The monuments or sites that are culturally , religiously , historically and naturally important are defined as national heritage.

Some of the measures to preserve them are as follows:

The local people should be more conscious to preserve the heritages and glorify the identity of our heritages throughout the world by using different means of communication so that several tourists might visit our country.

They should be renovated and repaired in time and often and severely damaged structures should be restructured with the wide range of local people participation and considering the originality of the structure.

Assure security of the site and punish the thief and smugglers severely.

Evacuate the structures and peoe who are encroaching the heritage sites and implement the laws to stop the encroachment in the coming days.
