The Soviets and Chinese never banned together because they simply wanted to be the most dominant country. Its not question that the United States is, and was, the most dominant country. To this day the Soviet and Chinese try to take that mantle from the US, more from the latter. So if they banned together then who would get the crown? They instead never came together. They fought each other too, back in the 60's soviets opened fired on chinese soldiers for crossing their borders. Nevertheless, they simply didn't want the help of the other because then they would have to fight the other for dominance
