The reason why there was a Push to create a Jewish nation was that for many years Jewish people looked to have a "home" but after the Holocaust the need made the countries of the world provide them a safe place to live.

first of all, the Zionism movement is the basic idea of establishing a land for the Jewish people and have total freedom to practice their ways without any concern or pursuit. This caused many countries to support them, however, when nationalistic nazi party movement lost its way, they executed very bad actions against them.
