How did the end of the cold war affect afican governments?

During the end of Cold war, the African countries no longer received aid and weapons.  The Soviet Union, just after the Cold War, no longer provides aid and weapons to the different African countries.  The end of Cold War was also the reason Soviet Union collapsed.
