Roosevelt was a great president. He was president during one of the toughest times that our nation was in, the great depression, but he managed to get out of it. One of the greatest things that Roosevelt did was the New Deal. I know that there is a lot of controversy behind the New Deal and some of the things were pretty bad, but what about Social Security? And the CCC? Those are all amazing acts that he did an amazing job on. To put back the country together after the great depression was an amazing thing to do. Roosevelt also passed The Meat Inspection Act and The Food and Drug Inspection after reading The Jungle, a book that Upton Sinclair published about the horrible conditions in the food factories.This was on my notes
