In one paragraph explain why D-day was the beginning of the end for Germany?

British, Canadian, and American forces ended up taking key points on the coast of Nazi-occupied France, signaling a beginning to the end of war in Europe. The time had finally come.

Because it was a major turning point for the allied forces. It made a huge statement on a global scale. When they stormed the shores of Normandy that showed Germany that they were in for a fight
