Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr's duel happened because after Burr lost the election, hamilton made some terrible remarks abour burr in the newspaper clippings. Burr challenged Hamilton to a duel, and hamilton agreed. The duel happened at Weehawken, New Jersey. Burr shot Hamilton, and Hamilton died on July 12, 1804.
