OBJECTIVE: Understand how to format your sources in a college or professional history paper.

DIRECTIONS: (THE SHORT VERSION IS IN ALL CAPS BELOW) Starting in college, and likely as soon as high school, when your teachers ask you to "list your source at the end," they will be asking for more than just the basic list of links. They're going to ask you to format the list with information in a very specific order. In college, a mistake with this formatting could count as plagiarism, so it's important to get used to doing this.

At the end of your research paper, a doc attached to assignment post #17, there should be a list of at least four sources, likely all website links. If you don't have that, or don't have four, add them before Friday. They should be the same websites you cited on any "C" sentence of an ACES paragraph.

(this is in all caps because it's the main direction & I'm not teaching in person to explain it)

*** YOU NEED TO EDIT THE LIST OF WEBSITES AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR PAPER ACCORDING TO THE BELOW DIRECTIONS, SO IT MATCHES A PROFESSIONAL PAPER.
- I NEED YOU TO FIND & ADD THE INFORMATION IN THE SCREENSHOT BELOW TO EACH LINK YOU LISTED AT THE END OF YOUR PAPER.
- ADD IT IN THE EXACT SAME ORDER, WITH THE EXACT SAME PUNCTUATION (periods, commas, etc).
- WHERE IT SAYS "URL"... THE "URL" IS THE ACTUAL LINK ITSELF, AND ONLY NEEDS A PERIOD AT THE END.
- IF THERE'S NO AUTHOR OR YOU CAN'T FIND THE INFO, TYPE "n. d." instead for "Not Determined."

COPY THE FINISHED LIST TO THE ANSWER FIELD ABOVE. ALSO COPY IT TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR FINISHED PAPER.

If you have never formatted a bibliography (list of research sources) before, this is probably super confusing. That's fine and understandable. The next post will be virtual tutoring hours and, if I can dig up the courage to hear my own voice, an audio recording of myself explaining this.

I PROBABLY TYPED TOO MUCH, SO IF YOU'RE CONFUSED, JOIN THE VIRTUAL CLASSROOM ONCE ITS POSTED FOR ADDITIONAL HELP IF YOU NEED IT. ALSO I MISS EVERYONE, HOPE YOU'RE FINDING WAYS TO KEEP MENTALLY HEALTHY!
