In your own words, describe the impact of agriculture on the Harappan civilization?

The people who inhabited areas of the Indus Valley were engaged in commerce, farming and construction. Because their settlements were located near rivers, they had a constant supply of water   an element essential to life.

As the primary branch of civilization, agriculture developed most. Traces of various crops were found on the mounds in the excavated areas.
