Both Africa and South Asia was colonies of British and America respectively.  The imperialism in the Africa and south Asia was similar.

Imperialism:

It is policy in which a country extent is boundaries and influence by colonization, military etc.

Both Africa and South Asia was colonies of British and America. British and America was strong nations and they need more raw material to run the industries.

So, they use these countries to fulfill resource needs.

farmers of both colonies were  gone through forced farming of particular crop such as Tobacco, cotton, sugar and coffee.

Therefore, the imperialism in the Africa and south Asia was similar.

Both independence of Africa and South Asia struggled due to being colonized by foreign nations like Europe and America. The economic progress in Europe and America boosted industrialization and also their confidence of being the most superior among all. So, this means that they needed to have more raw materials. In order to do this, they needed to colonize the countries in South Asia and Africa. This attitude was called "imperialistic attitude." This gave them the means to control the lower nations (indigenous nations) and transform them for they see it as their duty. In turn, they will control their natural resources.

Both Asia and Africa gained benefits from the colonial impact. For example, Africa and South Asia both gained an access to the goods coming from Europe and America. They also gained the influence from these nations, such culture and education. However, many of them were forced off their lands and if ever they had a land, they were subjected to "cash crops." These were crops that could be sold in the market. Examples of cash crops were tobacco, cotton, coffee and sugar.
