be the development of tazers, along with concussion point bullets for guns that will certainly hurt, but not end your life.

theres also assault sheilds for protection from the masses during a non peaceful protest.

along with a blunt weapon that they already use, a police baton,

they can definitely keep crowd control and not be harmed in the process
