The articles of confederation allowed each of the 13 states to have a vote regardless of population. why did this cause the articles to be unfair from a democratic standpoint?

The articles of confederation allowed each of the 13 states to have a vote regardless of population it was unfair from and demcoratic point of view due to fact that states with big population had same to say as the states with small popualtion which made it unballanced for the most of the citizens
