How are settlements affected by the rise of agriculture?

It all depends on what settlements and the type of agriculture.

Settlements in the south thrived on tobacco, while when europeans first came here they had no idea how to grow foods. It was a great struggle to first grow food with little skill and eventually they became self sufficient. agriculture helps to make settlements thrive and be able to take care of themselves. Food for them is also a way of trading.

monitor contract compliance and results of forestry activities to assure adherence to government regulations.  

plan and supervise forestry projects, such as determining the type, number and placement of trees to be planted, managing tree nurseries, thinning forest and monitoring growth of new seedlings.  

establish short- and long-term plans for management of forest lands and forest resources.  

determine methods of cutting and removing timber with minimum waste and environmental damage.  

supervise activities of other forestry workers.
