4. the maya empire was located in what used to be a thick jungle on the yucatan peninsula. the aztecs settled in what we now call   mexico city and   the incan empire could be found along the andes mountains. the inca also terraced hillsides in order to grow much of the same crops the maya did. maya, aztec, and inca civilizations were similar in that all three followed polytheistic religious beliefs. the mayans, aztecs, and incas were similar in that they believe in many gods in the universe.
