Sunscreen products are regulated as over the counter drugs by US under Food and administration Act (FDA). Over 40 decades the regulations for the safe sunscreen supply has not been updated in the records.

New enforcement policy Of FDA on sunscreens was updated in 2018 which had clear guidelines regarding the safe chemical components and the SPF which is safe for the consumers.

FDA checks how far the product is genuine and certify it as ‘GRASE’ which means Generally Recognized as Safe and Effective.
