1776 white men who own property have the right to vote in all states. catholics, jews, quakers, and others are not allowed to vote. some states allow women who own property the right to vote.
1777 women lose the right to vote in new york.
1780 women lose the right to vote in massachusetts.
1784 women lose the right to vote in new hampshire.
1792 new hampshire becomes the first state to get rid of property ownership requirements for voting.
1807 women lose the right to vote in new jersey.
