How was darwin’s work on the evolution of species exploited by proponents of the industrial age? why might they have latched on to this idea in particular?

Explanation:  Darwin's theory of evolution speaks of the struggle for survival among animals, and in that struggle survive only the strongest and most capable individuals and extend their species. These animals are also capable of adapting to new environmental conditions, and this constant adaptation capability is actually evolution. In this way, the evolution changes the characteristics of the individuals, which only most capable are able to survive,  transfer these characteristics and extend their species. Thus, evolution produces a natural selection that improves quality traits and improves them.

The proponents of Industrial Age used Darwin's theory of evolution to justify imperialism, conservatism and racism, and this version is called Social Darwinism. Namely, the goal of advocating Social Darwinism was to preserve old exploitation systems and imperialist relations in order to prevent social reforms. According to Social Darwinism, those who are the most capable, as capitalist and imperialists, have the right to maintain such order, because they base this right on the idea of a dominant species. Every intervention and reform would mean changes in political and economic relations, i.e. the possibility of losing existing influence and making profit.

the topic i chose to write about was " why scuba diving is so popular". the topic is suitable for the audience because it is the easiest to develop and explain, it can be explained in a simpler more conversational manner, it does not require the use of too many technical words, and the final reason for selecting this topic is that it is the one most people can relate to, you might not know too much about scuba diving, but you could probably agree that it is very popular. the purpose of the writing about this topic is to convince more people about the benefits both for the body and the mind that   scuba diving can have on a person. it can you keep fit since it requires a lot of energy when swimming underwater; it also you relax because you forget about the world when you are underwater being mesmerized by the underwater world. i would write this paper in the summer, a perfect time to give scuba diving a try if a person has not done it yet.
