The Partition of India was the division of British India in 1947, which eventually guided the formation of two independent province, India and Pakistan. The separation was set abroad in the Indian Independence Act 1947 and the outcome in the cessation of the British Raj, as the British government there was called.

Explanation:

The consequences of the partition of India and Pakistan were very severe. Lakes of people were forced to leave their lands and villages to escape terror and violence and death. Lakes of people irrespective of their religion lost their lives due to the Partition and the violence that followed.Women were raped brutally, often paraded naked in the streets and then murdered. Their husbands were shot dead in front of them.Apart from riots, cholera also killed thousands of people due to lack of proper medical facilities.
