The coalition of 6 Arabic countries was defeated by Israel. The territories that were under the control of Egypt under Nasser's leadership were lost to Israelian forces. The size of the state of Israel grew enormously,  the Golan Heights, Cisjordania, and Sinai. Among the gained territories,  the "Gaza strip" remains till today one of the greatest sources of tension. It is one of the most fragile regions in the world in geopolitical terms and also has been gaining enormous International surveillance from major powers in the region.

For many analists, and academics as well as the public opinion, the control, and expansion resulting from this war, have led to being more critical of Israelian policies on the region with the neighboring Palestinians.
