The impact of the post-civil war innovation can be compared to that of the pre-civil war market revolution in the following ways.

Before the war, and as part of the Market Revolution, the Industrial Revolution transformed the life of the people in the northern states.Factories were established, creating jobs to operate the machines and instill mass production.However, in the southern states, industrialization was not part of this region of the country.Southern people depended so much on agriculture and slavery.Large plantation owners depended on slaves who worked long hours in the plantation fields producing cash crops.Indeed, the economy of the South totally depended on agriculture, while in the North, the economy was based on industrialization.After the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln ordered Reconstruction in the South.The North had won the war and industries represented a big factor in the victory.During Reconstruction, some industries and fabrics started to move to the South to industrialize that part of the country.However, the South still heavily depended on agriculture. Post-Civil War Innovation tried to modernize the South, offering jobs in the fabrics.Conditions also imrpoved through modern railroads that enhanced the transportation of people and goods.

We conclude that industrialization change the face of the United States and after the Civil War.

Innovations in the field of mass production, technology, and weaponry, strengthen the nation's economy.

Nevertheless, social issues such as racism, Jim Crow laws, and the black codes, still hurt the southern states.
