The United States, and other NATO members sent forces to the former Yugoslavian Republics in the mid 1990s to stop ethnic cleansing that had erupted due to the Yugoslav wars & ethnic tensions.

2. carter: president from 1977 to 1981, carter had controversial poitions over abortion, but yet, he enforce the roe vs wade decision, which had pro-choice content.
