What were the major differences between the oregon, texas, and california frontiers?

Acquiring Oregon, Texas and California, made The United States a transcontinental Nation. The Federal armies conquered the natives of the Western territories.  

Oregon transformed into a frontier of exclusion and the journey was, expensive and hazardous.

The frontier pattern in Texas was first blending with natives, then occupying the land, and later excluding and removing the natives.  To be part of the union, white native-born Americans in Texas dominated the economy and politics back then.

The California case was vastly influenced by the "Gold Rush", the discovery of gold dragged people from many places, even China, seeking fortune, therefore the population grew rapidly, by whites particularly, and California became a state in 1850.

The western expansion rather than uniting the nation, almost destroyed the communities.

martin luther king (1929-1968) was an activist for the african american rights, mr. king has a profile of a kind leader that built a tenacity, respect and full of hope future. he was an activist through civil disobedience and no violence pressure mechanisms. he tried to build a more egalitarian and fair society. his efforts carried a reivindication message of the civilian rights to every west corners. for that reason, he won the nobel prize in 1964.
