Greek people are recognized by the way the viewed and interpreted the world around them. They helped to produce civilization through their philosophy and science. Greek scientists provided the world with the developement of agriculture, theater, literature, besides security and national identity. When talking about Greek science we have to mention the astronomy as a top one. They produced a lot of accurate observations, as from Pitagoras who observed that planets moved on a constant speed. However, common greeks didn't rely on astromy as much as they did on mythology, which is where they found explanations to most of the natural events they lived. For example, earthqueakes were thought to be created by by Poseidon crashing his trident to the ground.
