Why did the townshend act anger the colonists?

The Townsend acts were a series of taxes and laws imposed on the colonists. The first placed a tax on glass, paper, letter, oil, and tea. This angered colonists because once again, they were being taxed without representation. What this means is that in Parliament, The British people are deciding things about their colonies without the colonists having any say whatsoever. They wanted fellow colonists in Parliament to help decide taxes, but they couldn’t.
