The second thing is, that there are several sects, or currents, inside Islam itself, and it is the differences of belief, the way that Islam is interpreted and lived within this sects, that causes conflict. An example of this is the differences between the Sunnites and Shiites. Both groups share Islam as their faith. However, both interpret the basic tennets of their faith and the way Isalm dictates how life should be lived, in different ways, and these differences cause conflict, and many times, violence.
