Which of the following explains the dynastic cycle? the dynasty is passed down to the surviving son of the noble family who serves until death. a new dynasty is established to restore peace. when a new dynasty begins, it gains the mandate of heaven. over time, this new dynasty becomes an old dynasty through unfair treatment of citizens and injustices which causes natural disasters and devastation from the heavens. to restore peace, a new dynasty is established and once it begins, it gains the mandate of heaven. the cycle repeats itself.. the new dynasty is appointed by a prophet who is said to speak directly from the gods and this prophet is told which ruler is fit to rule. then, if that ruler is corrupt the dynasty will get overthrown and a new noble family will take its place and this same cycle repeats. only a prophetic man can become ruler through the royal family and this man is said to be a god who citizens must worship. though, if the ruler rules the citizens unjustly the gods from heaven will bring natural disasters and then a new dynasty must be established. this cycle will continue to repeat.
