The French and Indian War happened from 1754 to 1763, the territorial changes were very important because France renounced all claims of control to the lands east of the Mississippi River. France also ceded Louisiana to Spain.

These changes were very important because France during that time was the main rival of Great Britain when France renounced and left the continent, the British had no colonial rival in America.
