Why do you think americans were willing to give up new lands to the indians?

Indians were the original owners of the land . The Indians had lost their land to colonialists who killed them in large numbers by war and diseases and stole their land. It was hence justice to give back what belonged to them.  

ghana achieved independence peacefully, while algeria gained independence through an armed struggle.
