Why did many wealthy englishmen favor the development of colonies in america

The wealthy Englishmen supported the development of colonies because it helped them. First, Virginia offered 50 acres of land for every person you bought a ticket to america for. The wealthy Englishmen would ship people over to work for them, and get more land for every person.  Also, many people thought there was gold in America, because of the rich natives. Lastly, they could also serve in the House of Burgesses meaning they would get even more power.

the largest free trade nation, along with the largest gdp in the world wanting to expand it's economic policy on us, and including us, could only be positive. the u.s. government has no interest in, or way of simply forcing american culture on us. and has no track record of it. other nations that adopted american social culture, or "americanization" did so voluntarily, mainly through the choice of allowing american businesses and u.s. citizens to come into their nations, as free operatives.
