During the 19th century, parliamentary legislation in England was used to regulate the CONDITIONS OF INDUSTRIAL WORKERS. 
In the early 19th century, the employers made their workers to work for very long hours at the factory and only pay them very low wages in return. The other working condition to which these workers were subjected were also very harsh and bad. Children of the workers were also involved in the whole saga and they were forced to work long hours just like their parents. This situation led human activists to begin to speak against the employment conditions in factories. At the end of the day, the government put in place laws which regulate the working conditions of  factory workers.
