Peace Corps



The Peace Corps were established by Kennedy in 1961. This organization consisted of many volunteers who went to underdeveloped nations to volunteer their time and skill, doing things such as teaching in/constructing schools and homes/other buildings, building wells to allow access to fresh water, and aiding with day to day life.

President Kennedy established the Peace Corps, this program sent people around the world to countries that invited them to come. It gave people a chance to go and learn other countries cultures and form a bond between the United States and that country. This allowed people from the United States to go over to underdeveloped nations and offer training, education and help to build up their communities. The program was/is focused on peace and helping people in need.
