What does the percent daily value column of a
food label tell you?

The daily percent value label shows what portion of the amount of daily recommended nutrients the product provides, based on a 2,000 calorie  diet.

The food label will also tell you about total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, fiber among other nutrients.

The label will also provide information on serving size.

The Food and Drug Administration  (FDA) and the U.S. department of Agriculture  (USDA) require labels to be put on nearly all packaged foods in readable type. The information usually appears under the title "Nutritional Facts"
