Advantages are that by having farm-assured food, we can be sure that they are subject to certain safety standards and protocols which guarantee that this food is not poisonous and eatable. Disadvantages include having this food being subject to heavy use of pesticides which can also have a negative effect on the healthiness of such food. 

An epidemic is a large and localized outbreak of a sickness or disease.  a pandemic is a large global outbreak of a sickness or disease.
