Respiration process starts at the nose and mouth, from where oxygen carrying air in breath in and move down to the pharynx, larynx and the trachea. The trachea is further branches into two bronchi which brought the oxygenated air into a lung. Bronchus is further divided into smaller unit called bronchi which again divide into even small tubes called bronchioles. At the end point of bronchioles a tiny air sac is present called alveolus that is the place from where gaseous exchange takes place.

The respiratory circulation occurs in two major parts are,

External respiration: It includes both the steps bringing air into the lungs and releasing air into the atmosphere. Internal respiration: It includes the exchange of gases within the body or in middle of cells and blood vessels.

Respiration also helps in maintaining acid- base balance in the body. A respiratory cycle is completed in one complete sequence of inspiration and expiration. It is estimated for rhythm, rate and quality. The quality of the person b breathing is relaxed and silent and rhythm is stated as equal interval in middle of each respiration. The rate of respiration is based upon the age of the person.
