Nuri lives in an area where there is little rain and not many plants. the daytime temperatures can be much higher than nighttime temperatures.

This is very possible becuase the earth orbits, and when it orbits, the sun moves to the other side of the planet, while we have night. when we see the moon at night, we can only see it when the suns reflection hits the moon to make it glow.
