Pros and cons of road accident fund

There are several advantages of Road Accident Fund or as that is generally known RAF.
People who suffer serious accidents on the roads benefit from this fund in case of a serious injury, loss of an unborn baby, loss of a body function or any similar damage. The fund also support those who die in the accidents in respect of supporting their funerals and bearing the expenses.
If someone who is the sole bread-winner for a household dies in an accident (not causing himself the accident) the fund supports the household also. There is also a provision for the one causing accident lest he be mistreated or unjustly penalized by the victim. 
There are some disadvantages also in terms of national policy, the no fault claim system means that more victims of the road accidents can apply for claim which might result as a burden on nation. Another con is that under RAF the victims might lose the ability to chose the healthcare, and might be delayed in that as well.
